· Free your floor from dust and dirt:
If your epoxy floor is installed in any area where there is a lot of traffic then there will be massive amount f dirt and dust accumulate on the epoxy flooring. Furthermore, windy weather, climatic changes and summers also contribute to the dust and dirt on the floor. And if the epoxy floor is left with dust and debris then it will cause scratches and permanent marks on your epoxy floor. And soon the gloss will disappear from the surface. And when you move around or move your machinery further deterioration of the floor will occur.
So if you want your epoxy floor to be free from dust and debris then you should buy a lint free good mop. The frequency of mopping on the epoxy floor will depend upon the consumption of the area. Sometimes there are cracks and fissures in the floor surface, where the dust and dirt get trapped easily. So to clean and get rid of that dirt you can use vacuum. So before your roll any machine on the epoxy floor make sure to remove all the dust and dirt from the floor so that it will not get compressed in between.

You can easily use a lot of hot water and green detergent which is free from vinegar as vinegar will leave a lot of stains and mark on the epoxy floor. Moreover, people also avoid soap and detergents on the surface because it will steal away the shine off the floor. The soap and detergents will leave a haze every time you use them and over time it builds up snatching away the gloss. And another reason for not using soap is that it causes the floor to be slippery when it comes in contact with water making it dangerous for the user.

· Scrubbing:

This you can perform by taking a kitchen sponge with warm water and with mild scrubbing you can easily remove the stain. There are heat resistant epoxy for metal that can be cleaned but scrubbing with steel sponge may destroy them. If the stain is stubborn and you are tempting to use steel sponge then it will destroy your epoxy floor. Similarly harsh chemicals like comet will destroy your epoxy floor.
Furthermore, also try to avoid citrus cleaners and vinegar because these are the chemicals that cause breakdown by chemical reaction and cause wear and tear of the epoxy floor.
· Cleaning of chemicals and spills:
Depending on where your epoxy floor is installed, you have to face chemicals and oil spills. And if the epoxy floor is of warehouse or some commercial industrial area, then you have to take care of the spills very much. Fortunately, the nature of epoxy floor makes very easy for you to clean these oils and chemical spills. All you have to keep in mind is that you don’t have to keep the chemicals spills on the floor for too long. As the chemicals that are in cars and vehicles can easily damage the epoxy floor of yours if sit for too long period of time.
Other spills like paints, cleaners and acids that are all household spills should be cleaned immediately and not kept for too long. You can use a lint-free towel or cloth with warm water, making sure that no stain of the spill is left on the floor.
· Heavy-Duty cleaning:
If the epoxy flooring is of the commercial based setting where there is lot of chances of spillage of chemicals and massive traffic then, you need to invest on weekly basis.
· Choosing right cleaning equipment:
If your cleaning equipment is not good, then no matter how much effort you are putting on cleaning, it will not be good enough. As there are so many mops out there in market, but you should choose the one that comfortably fits on your hand and doesn’t need streak on the floor surface. A cleaning solution should be chosen that doesn’t leave behind the solution on the epoxy flooring.
A self-wringing mop so highly preferred because, when the time of rinsing of mop came then the process become smooth and easy. Moreover, you can use a microfiber mop as well that will cover most of the floor without leaving behind any mark.
